The detent will prevent the disc from rotating on a handwheel with a matching locating pin. The disc is interchangeable and can be used on any industry-standard handwheel. The built-in keyway provides a physical index point that you can use to line up your marks and pull focus by touch. With a ribbed surface the handwheel is comfortable to grip and use. With the plunger released, the hard stops become soft stops, allowing you to use your fingers to stop the rotation of your focus wheel. Pressing the plunger activates the hard stops, which can be set to provide limits to lens rotation when working with endlessly rotating lenses. Each stop features an index line, so you can set multiple focus points on your handwheel. The kit comes with two 0.8 Mod cine-style gears, and a total of two removable marking discs are included.
